Missing a friend!

Feeling sad today. Yes my team mate is leaving from the project. He is leaving to Newzealand for other project. He is not only my colleague but also a good friend of mine. He’s place right next to me and we keep talking, discussing, arguing and fighting on things. It would be a great surprise for us if we are not fighting for 2 days continuously. The environment would be more live if he is in his full swing. Here after I’ll be missing him:(

I wish him all the best in his future endeavors!!

Just a Thought!

Yesterday had been to a colleague's Wedding reception. There was an Orchestra as usual as it is has become the latest trend. The Reception Hall was of medium size. But the sound rather I can use the word ‘Noise’ made by the orchestra made the hall to quiver and raising the heart beat. So I think now you can understand why I use the word ‘Noise’.I really don’t mean to say that the orchestra tem performed badly. Even though they did a good job people were not able to appreciate it much because the audio pitch was very high. And recently this had become a practice that you could see in most of the Wedding receptions. In marriages there would be the Nathaswaram and Mathalam and the sounds from these instruments would be different and no mikes kept beside them. Only friends and colleagues come for the reception. Their main idea of coming to the reception other than wishing the couple, would be for a get together with friends and happily spend time. And this objective would not be satisfactorily met due to the heavy sounds puncturing our ear drums. People would be conversing like passing secrets in each other’s ears:)

Why not this be bit modified? We can either go for some instrumental type which I feel would be ideal for a reception. Else the loud speakers and mike handling can be tailored in such a way that it makes a symphony to our ears rather making our whole body to shudder. Also this makes us to listen it with interest and makes the gathering feel pleased!!

Happenings

Last whole week was in Bangalore for training. It was good. After long time being away from home. Reminding my hostel days. No cooking. no house hold works...No nagging my husband in the mornings to start early:)Got time to finish 3 novels and listen lot of music(Thanks to my friend who uploaded wonderful collection of songs in my Mp3)..Did leisure walks in morning. No hurrying up and taking my own time to do my things as I had nothing else to do...On the whole one week trip helped me to refresh a lot and something unusual from routine….

Then was searching out for some sweet recipe and thanks to my friend(got to know from her blog), visited the following blog..

Nila Nila odi vaa...

This is about an article I recently read in a Tamil magazine which perturbed my mind very much. Child Labor! Yes. There are laws to knock down child labor. But what about Child Artiste?? Are they really considered under child labor? This is something which I had already read somewhere sometime back. Not sure who raised it. May be some politician. But then it didn't get into my mind. I just thought people are making issues, because I was under a mindset that there wouldn’t be any issues for a child artiste.

But then when I read the article about it I was moved. The article was about the Documentary film made by actress Rohini 'Nila nila odi vaa'. The film deals with the child artiste and all the sufferings they have. We cannot conclude that all the children who are artiste have a bitter experience. It's something to do with parents. There are some parents who live on the earning of their child before camera. The child is burdened with the responsibilities and forced to forget his/her own dreams of future. It was surprising to know that they are even denied studies. It's very common with parents who had failed to enter the film industry and they force their interest on their kid. They are comfortable in being a manager for their own kid. The children are then blemished with the luxury or publicity or money they earn out of it. In later stage they start dreaming about being a hero or heroine which is not that easy job. What is their future then if they fail to achieve it?
I also read about some of the scenes of that documentary film .The child may be even suffering from fever or illness at the time of shoot. Also the costumes may be very much uncomfortable for them. Getting up very early or staying whole night for the shoot.
It seems that in Hollywood there are some rules to be followed if a child artiste is involved in the film shooting. The shoot for the child can be only on Saturday or Sunday or on holidays. Not more than 5 or 6 hours of continuous shoot. And if the shoot is on a week day then a teacher has to accompany to teach the lessons.

However in India, I’m not sure if there are any laws that are already in place. If not I feel something has to be done for this. Let’s see how far this film by Rohini is reaching the minds of the parents of those child artistes. This film is also selected for the Indian film festival organized in US.

My Week end

I was on leave on Friday and had been to my sis place…Friday and Saturday njoyed..Me,my mom and younger one…was cooking and watching TV browsing all the channels..Really after a long time.Earlier, before marriage I spend most of my time infront of TV ,when I'm @ home… Browsing all channels…I used to watch a Malayalam movie,a Telugu movie and a Tamil movie all @ one time by just switching channels…And most of the time got to watch music channels… Now-a-days I don't get time to watch TV..So after long time had a good time in front of TV..was very happy…also with my mom and Sis..

Saturday evening, we(Me & Karthi) with my in-laws visited a Handicrafts Exhibition..got some paintings and dolls...Then had been to Ratna Cafe for dinner..My long time wish of taking my father-in-law to Ratna cafe..because he always use to speak about ratna cafe sambar...he was in triplicane Mansion prior to his marriage and was a regular visitor of Ratna cafe..After so many years he was so happy to taste the Ratna cafe sambar:)

Sunday…vow..we cleaned our home..me and Karthi did a good job..We appreciated ourselves…cleaned and set the computer table and TV stand…actually a tedious Job …also frames that were sleeping for long time got placed in our walls….and the things we got in the exhibition on Saturday..Yet to fix up the Palm leaf paintings in the computer room….Karthi could'nt belive himself for rooms being so clean….

And went for a reception in the evening..in the way back got into Globus…Got 3 new Salwars..heyyyyyyyyy
